Hi, I'm Margaret

I’m a photographer, artist and landscape designer based in Philadelphia, PA.

BASEMENT is a photography and design practice rooted in the exploration of our shared surrounding culture — the connections between people, design, landscapes, and place. Formally trained as a landscape architect, I approach photography as an extension of my spatial and aesthetic principles. My first photography teachers were my dad and my uncle - my earliest memories are of them on family vacations, cameras in hand so they wouldn’t miss a second.

BASEMENT’s work is warm, playful and editorial - I like to photograph life in all it’s phases.
